Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre - Social Support Service
Chester Hill Neighbourhood Centre has just established a new service which provides social support activities for isolated Bankstown residents over 65 years. These include:
Linking individuals or small groups (up to 4) with existing group activities within Bankstown.
Outings and day trips
Friendly visits and phone calls
Accompanying residents to appointments
A cup of tea and a chat

New Centre based Day Care in Fairfield and Bankstown LGAs
Australian Nursing Home Foundation (ANHF) proudly announces its two brand new day care centres for the Chinese and Vietnamese communities.

Bankstown SOcial Support and Monitoring Service
Bankstown Social Support Service is a new service for frail older people and people with a disability. The service aims to support people living independently at home and to assist clients in meeting their needs for social contact.
Bankstown Social Support Service offers flexible and timely visits that respond to the needs of the individual and their circumstances.
Services will include:-
Regular friendly home visits
Regular telephone contact
Assistance with meal preparation, monitoring nutrition
Assistance with planning daily schedules, letter writing and other
correspondence
Accompaniment to shopping, bill paying and appointments
Social outings
Communicate with carers and other support services as required
