Dare to Care 2 Conference - A Collaborative and Holistic Approach

The Ageing & Disability Support Services in the South West Sydney Region aim to:

- Allow people with disabilities and those who are frail aged to remain living safely and independently in their own homes, where appropriate, rather than nursing homes or hostels;
- To support the family members and friends who are carers.

The workers who provide this support to people with a disability, older people and carers generally go unacknowledged. They do fantastic, but often stressful work to provide care to these vulnerable people in our community.

For the second time, a South West Sydney Ageing & Disability conference called “Dare to Care 2” was hold on Thursday 27th June 2013, at Fairfield RSL. The conference was aiming to benefit workers professionally and personally. There were plenty of opportunities to hear from various great speakers as well as pampering experiences. Guest speakers topics ranged from sector changes to motivational messages.
