National Reconciliation Weekk (NRW) is dedicated as a time for all Australians to consider the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Acknowledging the history of Indigenous Australia, pro- and post-colonisation, is essential to our reconciliation journey. The 2019 NRW theme is, 'Grounded in Truth Walk Together with Courage.

Cumberland Council is joining the NRW celebrations by hosting local events, aiming to increase understanding within our community. See attached for all the events.

- Ability and Early Links is a new way to support people with disability, their families and carers as part of the ongoing reforms to the disability service system in NSW

WHO CAN ACCESS ABILITY AND EARLY LINKS NSW?

- People with a disability aged from 0-8yrs (Early Linkers) and 9-64 (Ability) who are generally not accessing specialist disability services
- Carers and families of a person with a disability
- A diverse range of people including Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander,Australian and culturally & linguistically diverse people.
