Fairfield City Leisure Centres boot camps and personal training sessions

Council is further supporting the health and fitness of locals during COVID-19 restrictions with the introduction of boot camps and personal training sessions through our leisure centres.

From Wednesday, 27 May and continuing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Fairfield City Leisure Centres will hold boot camp and personal training sessions at the Fairfield Showground festival arena.

These affordable and enjoyable sessions will cost just $5 per participant, with one-hour sessions at 7.30am, 9.30am, 11am and 4pm.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said as restrictions around outdoor activities and group gatherings ease, he is excited to be able to offer residents the opportunity to participate in group fitness activities again.

Strength & Balance classes live on Zoom (Strength for Life)

Strength for Life is adapting to deliver an online option during Covid-19

Local exercise physiologist Jacquie re-launch the program via Zoom for term 2.

Jacquie is currently taking bookings for the initial one to one consultation where she will write an exercise prescription specific to the needs of each participant. The format of the class is: group mobility, strength and balance exercise with progress and regress options and then each participants do each their individual exercises, for the online version this is only 3-4 then the participants can stay on for a chat afterwards.

The classes will start on Monday the 11th May and Jacquie is available for consultations now. If people have a chronic disease she is set up to take telehealth or CDM referrals.
