WORKSHOP: Mental health literacy project for Arabic speaking religious and community leaders and other community staff - A few places left

Please see attached the English and translated Arabic flyers for the upcoming mental health literacy workshops for the Arabic religious leaders, Arabic community leaders and Arabic service providers and volunteers.

The first workshop has already been filled which is fantastic! Please help us in promoting this initiative to the Arabic religious and community leaders. Places are limited, so please contact Randa or myself as soon as possible to book your spot for the two remaining workshops in 2019.

Your Choice Your Voice Conference

This year, The Disability Trust will be hosting the Your Voice Your Choice Self Advocacy Conference for people with a disability, parents and carers, and service providers on 14th and 15th October 2019 at Novotel Northbeach. The theme is choice and control and excitingly will feature Australian Paralympian and media personality, Dylan Alcott OAM as the keynote speaker.

At the Your Voice Your Choice National Self Advocacy Conference, you can learn from others who are leading life their way and getting the most out of their NDIS plans. The Conference will feature a range of topics and workshops that will inform individuals on initiatives within tailoring their NDIS plans to their personal needs.

8th International Conference on Ageing and Spirituality

The 8th International Ageing and Spirituality Conference is being held in Canberra this year from 27 to 30 October. The theme of the conference is 'Changing cultures of Ageing and Spirituality'.

The theme of the conference is 'Changing cultures of Ageing and Spirituality.' We have invited international and local speakers to address this theme with pre-conference workshops and 3 days of conference.
