SWS Multicultural Access Project (MAP) Officer

The Multicultural Network Inc is seeking a Multicultural Access Project Officer for the South West Sydney area, covering Bankstown, Fairfield and Liverpool LGAs. KARI: Aboriginal Caseworker - OOHC

KARI is one of the largest accredited Aboriginal Out of Home Care (OOHC) services in NSW. There is currently the opportunity to join this ever growing service located in Penrith. Accountant - Part Time Position

PART TIME ACCOUNTANT -
An exciting prospect exists to work in a leading Community Transport organisation located in Sydney's south west. This is a unique opportunity in a permanent position offering a flexible 24 hour per week arrangement. Your responsibility will be managing the day to day finance functions, supervising a bookkeeper as well as being heavily involved in management of financial accounting, reporting, forecasts and budgets. Due to the rapidly changing nature of the organisation you will also get exposure to ad-hoc finance and system improvement projects.

Ideally you will have strong management accounting and reporting experience in a small to medium sized business, have exceptional communication skills and be a team player who isn't afraid to help wherever it is required.

Essential Skills

Accounting or Business/Commerce degree
Proven interpersonal and communication skills enabling effective staff organisation, motivation,
Supervision, appraisals, and practical assistance.
A minimum of 3 years Finance experience, including the:

Preparation of Management Accounts and external Financial Statements reporting.

Management and preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax and BAS returns in accordance with relevant Legislation.
Supervision and control of the General Ledger Accounting module including maintenance of the chart of accounts.
Provision of Accounting systems specifications and Report Writing skills.
Intensive knowledge and experience of Accounting Sub-Systems and their corresponding accounting entries to the General Ledger interface.
Cash Flow Management
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel including developing macros and using financial functions
A strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
Excellent communication both written and verbal
Ability to carry-out financial and variance analysis
Desirable Skills

Membership to CPA or CA
Experience in the ‘not-for-profit’ or Charity sectors
Strong Australian tax experience,
Understanding the Code of Accounting Practice and a strong understanding of accounting principles
Experience in stand-alone Accounting software systems
A range of advanced computer skills

Bookkeeper - Part Time Position

PART TIME BOOKKEEPER

The key part of this role will be dealing with accounts payable, and receivable and preparing staff wages. You will need to have an exemplary phone manner and great email drafting skills. Your developed communications skills will allow you to connect with a variety of customers, clients and staff. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to set priorities, work under pressure and manage a range of tasks concurrently.

Essential Skills

Qualification in bookkeeping and minimum of 2 years’ experience
Proficient in using MYOB or other computerised financial packages
Intermediate skill and experience in Excel spreadsheets
General understanding of Fringe Benefit Tax and GST compliance concepts
Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
Demonstrated ability to analyse and develop new ideas – able to use initiative
Attention to detail and accuracy

This is a multi-faceted role involving driving a variety of vehicles up to 24 seat buses with a predominantly frail, aged client base as well as supporting clients with a disability or challenging behaviours to get to and from their destination as well as supporting them whilst at their destination as required.

Your developed communications skills will allow you to connect with a variety of customers, clients and staff. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to set priorities, work under pressure and manage a range of tasks concurrently.

Essential Skills

An understanding of issues relevant to people who are transport disadvantaged including people who are frail aged, younger people with disabilities and their carers
Cert III in disability or equivalent
LR Drivers licence as a minimum
Working with children check - current
An understanding of the Disability Standards
Demonstrated customer service experience including the ability to engage with a diverse range of people we support
Demonstrated ability to manage time and meet deadlines
Demonstrated conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse communities
Minimum 2 years’ experience providing support to people with disabilities
Demonstrated high level verbal & communication skills
