Secrets & Lies is WPP AUNZ's major thought leadership platform. The first research study of its kind, it measures the difference between what we say and what we really think. What are the public values reported versus the private truths hidden?

The series of reports are based on research undertaken with WPP AUNZ’s Colmar Brunton and LiGHTSPEED, drawing on data from more than 8,000 Australians and New Zealanders.

Chapter 3 is focused on the concept of ageing in Australian society. What we’ve discovered breaks all the conventions and perceived norms about what it means to get older. It uncovers the lies we’ve been telling ourselves about Australians over the age of 50.

Elder Abuse National Research Strengthening the Evidence Base: Research definition background paper

This background paper sets out the approach to the development of a working definition of abuse of older people. The working definition is intended to be applied in the Elder Abuse National Research Program and, in particular, to inform the development of data collection instruments for an Australian Prevalence Study.
