Volunteers

Many ageing and disability services wouldn't be able to run without the commitment and work of volunteers.

Services are always looking for new volunteers. Training and orientation is available.

Some examples of the types of services that use volunteers are Meals on Wheels, Community Transport, and Social Visiting (Neighbour Aid)

Have a look on the service directory to find information about services that accept volunteers in your area.

This booklet has more detailed information on what it means to volunteer in HACC services generally. HACC Volunteers Orientation Handbook
